Sounds very familiar, so now it's gonna drive me nuts too. I have gone over SATC - definately not Samantha, Miranda, or even Charlotte. Samantha never gets a marriage proposal, Miranda asks Steve to marry her and Charlotte asks Trey too. That never happened with Big or Aiden with Carrie. On friends, it wasn't Monica - not sure about Phoebe - pretty sure not Rachel. Are you sure it was a proposal and not an "I love you"? Wish I could remember - sorry.
